Description

This hybrid expresses high resistance to the Asian corn borer in laboratory assays (whorlleaves, silks, and kernels) and field evaluations (leaves and ears), with significantly improved stalk resistance compared to the control. It tolerates up to 4× the recommended glyphosate dosage. Disease resistance assessments show high resistance to stalk rot,moderate resistance to northern leaf blight and Fusarium ear rot, and high susceptibility to southern rust, Curvularia leaf spot, and common smut.
The growth period from emergence to maturity veraged 104 days. The hybrid exhibited high resistance to common smut, moderate resistance to northern leaf blight, stalk rot, and Curvularia leaf spot, and high susceptibility to southern rust. It showed no significant differences from the recipient variety in terms of growth duration, disease resistance, or lodging rate, with an average lodging and stem breakage rate of 1.6%.
